Job Summary

Administer, maintain, and optimize IBM CICS TS and IBM MQ environments on IBM z/OS to keep mission-critical transaction processing systems highly available, stable, secure, and performant. You’ll install/configure subsystems, manage PTF and release upgrades, create and tailor CICS regions, monitor and troubleshoot with deep-dive analysis of dumps/traces, execute DR procedures, and provide rotational 24/7 on-call support for production systems.

•Install, configure, and maintain CICS TS and MQ subsystems on z/OS, including PTF applications and release/lifecycle maintenance.
•Design, implement, and support CICS and MQ environments to ensure continuous availability.
•Create and customize new CICS regions based on business requirements.
•Perform proactive monitoring, advanced troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis using system dumps and traces.
•Plan, script, and execute disaster recovery procedures and provide rotational 24/7 on-call support; prepare technical documentation.

Key Requirements

•8+ years of hands-on experience as a Mainframe Systems Programmer for CICS and MQ on z/OS.

•Exceptional analytical skills to handle critical-impact outages and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
