Job Summary

Maintain and troubleshoot heavy construction equipment used on highway jobs, including dump trucks, pavers, reclaim and milling machines, loaders, graders, dozers, and rollers. Plan work procedures and coordinate parts/PM service in partnership with the Equipment Manager, and inspect equipment to assess damage with site leadership. Lead the equipment team in safety best practices through training and toolbox talks, while staying current on new equipment technology.

Key Responsibilities

•Travel in the field and at job sites as needed, working in the shop as required (CDL a plus).
•Plan work procedures (scheduling) and coordinate possible solutions such as parts and PM service with the Equipment Manager.
•Troubleshoot and maintain heavy equipment including dump trucks, pavers, reclaim and milling machines, loaders, graders, dozers, and rollers.
•Examine equipment and discuss the nature and extent of damage or malfunction with the superintendent, operator, or project manager.
•Ensure the equipment team follows safety best practices and comply with company policies; conduct safety training and toolbox talks.
