Key Responsibilities

  • •Set up and alter machine condition for jobs, including changeovers and adjustments to remedy quality issues.
  • •Maintain departmental KPIs (5S, scrap reduction, inventory, safety, productivity) and meet factory targets.
  • •Perform daily/weekly asset care checks and record maintenance for all machinery.
  • •Complete all required safety and quality checks, manufacture products to standard, and inspect/record scrap accurately.
  • •Assist with tooling/equipment maintenance and minor machine repairs; provide occasional support to technicians and cover shifts/overtime as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Previous experience operating plant machines such as grinders, CNC machines, presses, and heat treatment in a manufacturing environment.
  • •Experience with machine setting and fault-finding to address quality issues.
  • •Ability to use measuring equipment and dimensional gauges (e.g., plug and dial gauges) and perform visual defect recognition.
  • •Capable of accurate weighing and recording of operational scrap, including completion of scrap and shift records.
  • •Some mechanical aptitude and basic hand-tool understanding; forklift truck licence and mechanical engineering apprenticeship are preferred.
