Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Expediting Officers; allocate priorities and monitor performance against KPIs with corrective actions.
  • •Oversee purchase orders end-to-end (supplier acknowledgement through logistics handover), including weekly reviews of ageing/overdue/high-risk orders.
  • •Manage supplier performance and quarterly reviews; analyze delivery/lead-time trends and develop supplier improvement plans.
  • •Provide oversight of stock-out and potential stock-out risks and coordinate recovery actions with Procurement, End Users, Warehousing, Finance, and suppliers.
  • •Ensure ERP governance and reporting accuracy; audit due dates/promised dates and validate weekly expediting/KPI reporting using approved tools.

Key Requirements

  • •Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, or a closely related field (required).
  • •Professional certification such as CIPS Level 4 or higher.
  • •Valid membership of an accredited national procurement institute such as ZIPS (highly desirable).
  • •5–8 years of progressive experience in procurement, expediting, logistics, or supply chain management, including at least 2 years of supervisory/team leadership experience.
  • •Strong experience managing suppliers, OEMs, and freight forwarders, with demonstrated supplier performance and supply risk management.
