Job Summary

Lead end-to-end strategic projects for the Qantas Group Strategy team, partnering with senior management to design and execute major workstreams. Own delivery of self-contained strategic initiatives with support of a senior manager, including creating strategy content, using business expertise on complex topics, and presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders to inform board- and executive-level decisions.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and execute end-to-end strategic projects and major workstreams for the Group Strategy team in collaboration with senior management.
•Independently drive delivery of self-contained strategic projects or contributions to larger strategic initiatives.
•Own the end-to-end program of work with support of a senior manager, including leading creation of strategy content.
•Use business expertise to navigate complex and sensitive topics and present findings to senior stakeholders.
•Foster team development by driving and coaching the team in strategy toolkits and innovation methodologies.

Key Requirements

•5+ years’ professional experience, including at least 3 years in a top-tier consulting firm and exposure to investment banking or corporate strategy in a large firm.
•Relevant tertiary qualifications required; MBA preferred.
•Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with experience using AI tools and experimenting with fit-for-purpose use cases.
•Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with strong ability to produce high-quality written materials for senior management and the Board.
•Ability to work independently with minimal management input and communicate outcomes to senior stakeholders.
•Able to lead end-to-end program work with support from a senior manager and foster team development through strategy toolkits and innovation methodologies.
