Job Summary

Ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of key production assets at the Wilton facility in a COMAH top-tier chemical environment. Serve as mechanical authority, managing pressure systems compliance, maintenance and reliability strategies, and technical data in the site technical registry. Act as design authority for mechanical CAPEX and site projects, lead work scope preparation for overhauls/shutdowns, own asset life plans, and drive improvement plans across engineering, maintenance, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure pressure systems compliance with legal, company, and industry standards.
•Define and maintain maintenance strategies and routines for mechanical equipment to balance plant integrity, reliability, and cost.
•Act as Design Authority for mechanical aspects of CAPEX and site projects, providing technical guidance to project and reliability teams.
•Develop work scopes, specifications, and worklists for major overhauls and shutdowns.
•Own and maintain functional technical data in the site technical registry, and build asset life plans to identify repair, refurbishment, and replacement needs.

Key Requirements

•Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline) or equivalent extensive hands-on industrial/mechanical engineering experience.
•Significant experience (typically 15+ years) within chemical, petrochemical, or COMAH regulated environments.
•Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment and rotating machinery, including pressure systems and awareness of Fitness for Service assessments and defect management.
•Proven experience working with SAP (or similar maintenance systems).
•Membership (or eligibility) of a relevant professional engineering body is expected.
