Key Responsibilities

•Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in science, differentiating teaching to support all pupils.
•Create an inclusive classroom culture with high expectations that fosters curiosity, independence, and intellectual courage.
•Maintain learning environments aligned with school standards and implement formative and summative assessment to inform planning and accelerate progress.
•Contribute to curriculum design, refinement, and academic enrichment activities; provide timely, constructive feedback and records of achievement.
•Provide pastoral care and uphold safeguarding/child protection requirements, and communicate proactively with parents while contributing to the House system and co-curricular life.

Key Requirements

•Appropriate degree, with UK PGCE or other teaching qualification that gives QTS.
•Minimum three years teaching experience with familiarity with the National Curriculum of England and IGCSE/GCSE and/or A Levels as appropriate.
•A clean criminal record check, including International Child Protection Check (ICPC) from the UK or appropriate police and other checks for countries of residence/work.
•Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding children and understanding of safeguarding procedures.
•Preferred: prior teaching experience, preferably in leading independent schools.
