Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical support of equipment/capability deficiencies and develop technical solutions with risk assessments.
  • •Provide technical advice to ensure hull systems, fittings, and deck equipment are correctly operated and maintained.
  • •Conduct technical investigations into hull and marine system problems, including failure analysis and solution recommendations.
  • •Develop and review technical documentation such as specifications, installation/maintenance instructions, test and trials agendas, and engineering change documentation/drawings.
  • •Support configuration and design control through audits, deviations/waivers, work packages and cost estimates, and certification survey/approvals, including software change activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 2-year technical diploma in Naval Architecture or other marine technical field from a recognized technical institute, or be certified in specific Canadian Armed Forces trades.
  • •Certified as one of the listed Canadian Armed Forces trades (e.g., Marine Technician, QL7 Marine Engineer, or Hull Technician variants).
  • •8+ years of demonstrated technical professional work experience in the marine/offshore sector within the last 10 years.
  • •Strong working knowledge of maintenance, operation, design, troubleshooting, and/or repair of hull and marine systems (including outfittings and marine structures).
  • •Demonstrated project management experience and/or experience delivering marine in-service support of operational assets.
