Key Responsibilities

  • •Work on large projects and frameworks with renewable energy developers, supporting mostly UK and Ireland delivery.
  • •Undertake Front End Engineering Design (FEED), including feasibility and planning studies for energy storage systems and associated grid connections, control, and metering.
  • •Design BESS balance of plant (BOP) systems and develop grid connection solutions at 11kV–400kV for energy storage and renewables.
  • •Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and clients to deliver innovative design solutions.
  • •Provide support and exposure to bidding, project management, and quality management.

Key Requirements

  • •A degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • •Suitable experience working in a FEED designer, detailed design or owner’s engineer role.
  • •Strong understanding of renewable generation and energy storage technology, especially battery storage (all types and chemistries).
  • •Experience designing HV grid connections and associated metering/control requirements for battery storage installations (including BESS collocated with renewables).
  • •Knowledge of grid connection requirements for renewables and storage, including G99, G100 and grid code requirements for transmission-connected assets.
