Key Responsibilities

•Design and implement core banking product logic (accounts, deposits, lending, fees, interest, limits, delinquency, posting rules) using Thought Machine or equivalent approaches.
•Build and maintain ledger-posting logic with accurate, auditable, idempotent behavior aligned with accounting principles.
•Develop integration services and APIs for downstream systems (payments, KYC, CRM, GL, data/analytics, fraud, notifications) including event-driven integrations with robust handling and observability.
•Write comprehensive tests (unit, integration, contract) for financial logic, support CI/CD releases through dev/test/prod promotion, and troubleshoot production issues with root-cause analysis and runbook improvements.
•Partner with product owners, security, risk, and regulatory stakeholders to deliver controls, audit trails, documentation, and compliance-by-design implementations.

Key Requirements

•5+ years developing APIs/integration services in regulated enterprise environments, with banking/financial services experience preferred.
•Direct experience delivering core banking products on Thought Machine (4th generation) or a comparable modern core/ledger platform.
•Strong understanding of double-entry accounting concepts, ledgers, postings, balances, and reconciliation.
•Experience implementing product features such as fees, interest, limits, repayment schedules, and lifecycle events.
•Strong engineering fundamentals with Python/Java/Kotlin/Go; experience with REST/gRPC APIs, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native environments.
