Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform comprehensive preventative maintenance and repair standards for customer vehicles.
  • •Diagnose faults, fit replacement parts correctly, and ensure warranty claims align with warranty terms.
  • •Ensure complete end-of-shift handover, including vehicle on/off-road status, and attend customer sites for repairs.
  • •Answer VMU telephone enquiries promptly and complete job cards, service sheets, timesheets, and related paperwork accurately.
  • •Follow Health, Safety & Environmental standards and Safe Systems of Work, maintain housekeeping and PPE requirements, and support continuous improvement within the VMU.

Key Requirements

  • •Mechanical and/or refrigeration experience and the ability to work with minimal day-to-day supervision.
  • •Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical information, with experience in a mechanical environment.
  • •Computer literate and able to provide excellent oral and written communication.
  • •Full driving licence and flexibility to work at different locations to cover leave and workload.
  • •Desirable: GCSEs in Mathematics and English, F-Gas 2079, and electrical and mechanical certificates.
