Job Summary

Join Boeing’s Space Mission Systems Satellite Engineering team to support satellite battery technologies across design, manufacturing, test, delivery, and anomaly support. You’ll lead mechanical system and component design using 3-D CAD and GD&T methods, support fabrication/assembly/testing, collaborate with REA and cross-functional engineering groups, and drive RCCA and Failure Review Board packages. This role is 100% onsite in El Segundo, California.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead design configurations by following regulatory and company-approved processes and procedures.
•Lead project planning and ensure execution on program commitments.
•Develop mechanical system and component designs (3-D CAD, GD&T, interfaces, product definition) across the product lifecycle.
•Support fabrication, assembly, and test of spacecraft mechanical systems to validate components and meet requirements.
•Drive RCCA investigations and prepare/present Failure Review Board packages to support containment, root cause, and corrective actions.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
•Typically 9+ years of related work experience (Level 4).
•3+ years of experience in Solar Array and/or Battery Design and Manufacturing with CREO design.
•Experience working with battery and/or solar array technologies (cells, packs, integration, system requirements).
•TS/SCI and SSBI preferred.
