Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and on time while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer for loading/unloading, follow loading crew signals, and assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment.
  • •Maintain delivery documentation such as signed invoices and bills of lading, delivering paperwork to the shipping office when complete.
  • •Perform routine service as needed (e.g., checking oil, water, gasoline, and air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) (or chauffeur’s license depending on state) appropriate for the vehicle weight.
  • •Pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations, and pass a DOT physical.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Be able to perform physical duties including lifting and moving up to 40 pounds and spending prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
  • •Provide strong interpersonal and customer service skills with professional communication with customers and staff at delivery points.
