Key Responsibilities

  • •Directly supervise compounding personnel, including pharmacy technicians and essential pharmacy support personnel.
  • •Perform and accurately document compounding procedures, quality assurance/quality control checks, and dispensing of compounded preparations.
  • •Verify formula records, compounding records, beyond use dates, and finished compounded products, including pharmacist-related duties like patient consultation and error documentation.
  • •Assist in training and evaluation of compounding personnel, coordinate equipment calibration/maintenance, and monitor the compounding environment with the maintenance team.
  • •Support compliance and quality initiatives, including SOP development, adherence to USP/BOP/internal guidelines, CQI audits, and safe handling requirements for hazardous drugs.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy.
  • •Active Pharmacist License in Arizona.
  • •Effective knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws, rules, and regulations related to pharmacy practice.
  • •2+ years of pharmacist experience with strong math skills.
  • •Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and undergo respirator fit testing (with required approvals for respiratory protection).
