Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and develop frame attachments and safety components including fender/fender brackets, axle and suspension-related packaging, RUPD/SUPD, tow hooks, and reinforcement structures.
  • •Define modular, platform-compatible packaging concepts across Mercedes-Benz and BharatBenz vehicle platforms, covering frame architecture, axle configurations, rear overhang, and body builder requirements.
  • •Ensure compliance with global regulations and standards (UNECE R58, UNECE R73) and manage regional homologation and customer-specific requirements.
  • •Perform structural assessments (static strength, dynamic loading, recovery/towing loads, fatigue, and corrosion) and generate validation and release documentation.
  • •Collaborate with global engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, suppliers, homologation, and testing teams; support prototypes, validation testing, and investigate field failures with corrective actions.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile.
  • •Ability to develop structural safety component designs for heavy-duty commercial vehicles.
  • •Hands-on experience with 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and BOM preparation.
  • •Experience conducting finite element analysis (FEA) for structural assessment.
  • •Knowledge of UNECE regulations for rear/side underrun protection (R58/R73) and homologation requirements.
