Key Responsibilities

  • •Take a key technical leadership role on multi-disciplinary design projects from concept stage through to detailed design, in coordination with Architects, Engineers, and specialist consultants
  • •Develop innovative and sustainable designs from concept, for a huge range of challenging UK and international multi-disciplinary design projects, ranging from high-rise, stadia/arenas, urban regeneration, healthcare, commercial & mixed use, major refurbishment, data centres
  • •Manage processes to ensure technical issues and risks are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • •Mentor and develop junior members of the team, providing technical review, mentoring and advice to support Chartership progression
  • •Participate in tender bids and business development opportunities as they arise

Key Requirements

  • •Degree or HNC/HND qualification in a relevant discipline; Chartered MIStructE / MIStructE or equivalent considered (as applicable)
  • •Significant experience leading and developing junior team members within a multi-disciplinary building structures practice
  • •Proven ability to deliver structural design for large, multi-disciplinary schemes from concept through to construction
  • •Strong knowledge of national codes and standards and experience applying them to design solutions
  • •Experience with specialist design software packages used for structural design and modelling (see tech stack)
