Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, plan, and execute Sherman plant manufacturing engineering activities, including active participation and leadership of continuous improvement programs.
  • •Manage capital and non-capital projects to improve plant safety, quality, and productivity, including development of scopes, quotations, approvals, purchase agreements, vendor selection, issue resolution, and on-time/on-budget execution.
  • •Support EHS culture initiatives and reduce plant safety risk, including managing at least one MESH element.
  • •Resolve quality defects on the floor with direct support of the 8D process through closure within 15 days.
  • •Represent Sherman in VAVE and NPI processes; provide technical expertise for fabrication, paint, weld, and assembly processes; develop TPM plans and Standard Work documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
  • •Minimum 2 years of direct manufacturing engineering experience.
  • •Support continuous improvement and ownership in the Sherman Annual Productivity Improvement process.
  • •Ability to manage and close quality defects on the floor using the 8D process within 15 days.
