Key Responsibilities

•Lead and independently execute the HVAC discipline component of PS&E packages from concept through construction documents.
•Develop and apply advanced HVAC design methodologies including load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork and piping design, and energy modelling with code compliance.
•Serve as Lead Verifier on projects to ensure the technical approach satisfies the client scope and expectations.
•Prepare and review complex technical specification sections for HVAC systems; develop construction cost and technical effort estimates.
•Identify and introduce new design processes and tools to improve efficiency and quality across the discipline.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering; minimum 10 years of progressive HVAC engineering experience leading discipline deliverables on complex projects.
•In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems (central air handling units, chilled water and heating hot water systems, VAV, exhaust and ventilation, controls integration).
•Proficiency in HVAC load calculation and energy modelling software (e.g., Trane TRACE, eQUEST, HAP, or equivalent) and strong code knowledge (ASHRAE, IMC, NFPA, local codes).
•Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality technical outputs on schedule and budget; experience performing/leading QC reviews.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
