Job Summary

Provide commercially focused employment law support to the Partnership as part of the Employment legal team. Report into the Senior Legal Counsel, Employment, partnering with People and business stakeholders on contentious and non-contentious matters, including restructurings, TUPE transfers, settlement agreements, and employee relations escalations. Support complex strategic change projects, help develop team processes for consistent legal advice, and contribute to continuous improvement across legal propositions and controls.

Key Responsibilities

•Support the Senior Legal Counsel on high-value, complex, or strategic employment law cases, projects, and transactions, including partnering with People and business teams on employment queries.
•Advise on organisation change, restructurings, TUPE transfers, settlement agreements, and employee relations escalations.
•Provide support to paralegals when matters move into litigation.
•Account for sound commercial and legal decision-making with the business.
•Develop and implement team processes and procedures to deliver efficient, consistent legal advice and foster continuous improvement.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 71,500 - 107,000 annually

Key Requirements

•UK qualified lawyer with good post-qualification experience specialising in employment advice, ideally with some in-house experience.
•Employment law expertise across contentious and non-contentious matters.
•Confidence and credibility working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
•Experience with organisation change, redundancy, and TUPE.
•Evidence of continuous improvement mindset and a proactive, solutions-led approach to compliance.
