Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee field construction inspectors, including scheduling, site safety monitoring, technical oversight, quality of construction, and client satisfaction.
  • •Plan, coordinate, and manage construction management activities and assignments for direct reporting staff to ensure efficient utilization of staffing.
  • •Supervise field inspection teams and interface with contractors to coordinate construction activities and meet aggressive project schedules.
  • •Evaluate and resolve constructability issues; assess, validate, and recommend action on contractors’ change order requests including cost and schedule impacts.
  • •Develop and maintain project schedules and manage project budgets (estimation, tracking, reporting), coordinate stakeholders, conduct status meetings and reporting, and mitigate project risks while ensuring EHS compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree plus 6 years, or AS degree plus 8 years, or HS/GED plus 10 years of related experience (or demonstrated equivalency).
  • •US citizenship is required due to the projects associated with this position.
  • •Transit and transportation experience.
  • •Experience in resident engineering, construction management, project management, engineering, and related fields (6+ years preferred).
  • •Experience with NYSDOT or NYCDOT projects (preferred).
