Key Responsibilities

  • •Agree and monitor scope of work with the Associate / Principal Engineer of Public Health.
  • •Define building requirements and intended use with the Associate / Principal Engineer and WSP India/UK teams to support detailed design.
  • •Deliver detailed design and complex calculations, ensuring compliance with WSP India, UK Building Regulations, relevant codes of practice/standards, and CDM, QA, and sign-off requirements.
  • •Review and monitor calculation production, keep project costing/tender inputs on schedule, and communicate design decisions and progress to the WSP India/UK team.
  • •Coordinate contract documents (drawings/specifications), handle day-to-day queries, report variances versus design intent, manage commissions using project management tools, and follow documentary control/archiving and coaching junior staff.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience in the design of building services in a similar role, with a good track record.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil.
  • •EngTech/IEng or equivalent, plus membership to an accredited engineering body (e.g., CIBSE, INSRAE, ASHRAE, Institute of Plumbing).
  • •Excellent working knowledge of BS, CIBSE, and IOP, including feasibility studies through detailed design, specification, and tender.
  • •Proficiency with technical software (e.g., Hevacomp, H2X) and essential Microsoft tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project), plus fluency in English and a valid passport.
