Lead transport planning projects across the Liverpool region, guiding multi-disciplinary teams to develop strategies, policies and business cases. Manage client relationships, contribute to commercial performance, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with Net Zero, Future Mobility and Public Transport teams on innovative mobility solutions.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead on a variety of Transport Planning projects and proposals commensurate to your grade (both technical and commercial inputs).
•Lead and manage tasks as part of multi-disciplinary teams, working with other WSP service lines to deliver large multi-disciplinary projects from concept to delivery.
•Provide specific support in securing and delivering work for our diverse local client portfolio and undertake a lead role on technical review and checking of deliverables within the team.
•Be responsible for the financial performance of your projects and contribute to the commercial performance of the team.
•Support the ongoing development of junior members of the team, as a People Manager or mentor who shares knowledge and identifies growth opportunities.

Key Requirements

•Experience in active travel, public transport, transport programme/scheme development including relevant design guidance and/or business case development.
•Experience in developing transport-focused strategies, plans and policies.
•Experience of working with Local Authority and Combined Authority clients.
•Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects and tasks to meet deadlines.
•Commercial acumen and ability to manage tasks and support wider team management in leading more junior members of the team.
