Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and manage the supply base to support sourcing for technology used to build orbital data-center satellites.
  • •Provide weekly team status reporting and escalate to leadership when necessary.
  • •Train and mentor others to continuously improve team performance.
  • •Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to develop and implement sourcing and cost-management strategies for platforms, product development, capital purchases, and production consumables.
  • •Manage project budgets and capitalization plans, using total cost of ownership (TCO) and communicating equipment status, schedules, risks, and mitigation actions to leadership.
Travel: Extensive travel

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years’ experience in engineering, purchasing, contract negotiation, material/production planning, operations, or supply chain management.
  • •Experience in material cost control and/or master production scheduling and/or capital equipment sourcing.
  • •8+ years of experience directly negotiating contracts and sourcing global suppliers.
  • •8+ years of experience sourcing from a global supply base, including interfacing with suppliers in-person worldwide.
  • •Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate with all levels.
