Job Summary

Support mechanical quality assurance for a large-scale data center project in Dubai. Review approved mechanical drawings, specifications, method statements, and test plans; perform site inspections across HVAC, chilled water, piping, pumps, ductwork, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection; and verify documentation from submittals through NCR closeout. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, MEP engineers, and commissioning teams while maintaining accurate QA records and producing quality reports for project leadership.

Key Responsibilities

•Support implementation of the project quality management system for mechanical works.
•Review mechanical drawings, specifications, method statements, inspection and test plans, material submittals, and project quality requirements.
•Conduct site inspections for mechanical systems and installations, including HVAC, chilled water, pumps, piping, ductwork, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and mechanical equipment.
•Monitor contractor performance and verify inspection requests, material approvals, test/pressure test/flushing records, installation checklists, and quality documentation.
•Identify non-conforming work, support issuance/closeout of NCRs, and coordinate corrective/preventive actions through commissioning and handover readiness.

Key Requirements

•10+ years of QA/QC or mechanical engineering/MEP inspection experience on large-scale construction, infrastructure, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
•Experience on data centers, mission-critical, healthcare, industrial, infrastructure, or large-scale building projects.
•Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, chilled water, piping, pumps, ductwork, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and mechanical plant equipment.
•Experience reviewing mechanical drawings, specifications, ITPs, method statements, inspection requests, test reports, NCRs, punch lists, and quality records.
