Job Summary

Serve as a technical lead on the MetroLink programme, overseeing contractor design and construction activities for a section of the works. Review technical submissions, manage interface details, handle RFIs and technical changes, and monitor progress against the programme. Support design reviews, constructability, hazard and risk assessments, and ensure safe, high-quality engineering delivery from design through construction and handover. Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and stakeholders to resolve complex challenges and report status to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee contractor design and construction activities related to the Works.
•Act as a key technical focal point for the design and implementation of a part of the Works.
•Review contractor design submissions, interface requirements, and equipment/material submissions.
•Facilitate the design process by managing interface exchanges, technical clarifications, and RFIs, including technical changes and scope variations.
•Proactively monitor project progress, lead/provide input to design review and technical assurance workshops, and review/prepare technical reports and correspondence.

Key Requirements

•Degree-level qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline.
•Chartered Engineer status (or working towards chartership) or equivalent professional accreditation.
•Proven track record in the design and/or construction of major infrastructure projects.
•Strong background in underground works, including tunnelling, underground stations, structures, and/or rail projects.
•Experience in site surveys, inspections, and asset condition assessments.
