Key Responsibilities

  • •Structure, draft, negotiate, and manage a complex portfolio of environmental attribute transactions, including carbon credit purchase agreements, multi-party off-take agreements, and VPPAs.
  • •Oversee and expand Salesforce’s Sustainability Exhibit to incorporate binding environmental contractual commitments into the supply chain.
  • •Advise the Impact Team and related stakeholders on corporate sustainability initiatives, external disclosures, and risk mitigation.
  • •Execute high-impact carbon credit, renewable energy, and environmental attribute deals.
  • •Provide legal thought leadership and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support sustainability commitments under tight timelines.

Key Requirements

  • •J.D. degree and an active license to practice law in the state where you reside.
  • •Minimum five (5) years of legal experience focused on complex environmental attribute transactions, carbon markets, or renewable energy.
  • •Proven track record negotiating complex carbon agreements, VPPAs, or other sustainability-focused procurement structures.
  • •Ability to serve as a trusted legal advisor with business-savvy, fast-turnaround counsel on high-value deals.
  • •Familiarity with AI and emerging technology tools, with interest in using AI to support work.
