Job Summary

Support Honeywell’s Elster Water Metering NPI process by translating concepts into prototypes and accelerating development between design, hydraulics, and prototype lab teams. Execute ad hoc tests using manual and automated equipment, create specifications for new capital equipment, and improve development and testing. Collaborate with internal partners and third-party suppliers, analyze test data, and ensure work follows HSE requirements while rapidly resolving problems in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Translate concepts into prototypes as part of the NPI development process.
•Design and execute ad hoc tests and test equipment to support product development.
•Create specifications for new capital equipment.
•Test prototype and existing water meters using manual and automated test equipment.
•Drive strategic improvements in development and testing while coordinating with internal teams and third-party suppliers/consultants.

Key Requirements

•5+ years post-education experience in fast-paced electro-mechanical R&D design and validation.
•Knowledge of electro-mechanical validation, preferably flow meter testing.
•Apprenticeship or a mechanical-based degree with significant hands-on practical experience.
•Competence with typical machine shop equipment and analysis equipment, including scrutinizing data.
•Project management/project lead experience, with working effectively with missing information and safe working practices.
