Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform end-to-end accounting independently, including ongoing bookkeeping (bank bookings, accruals/deferrals) and AR/AP.
  • •Own the general ledger and prepare structured monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • •Create tax and regulatory filings/reports (e.g., VAT pre-filing and statistical reports) and ensure compliance with requirements.
  • •Serve as the first point of contact for accounting questions within the Finance team and coordinate with auditors as needed.
  • •Identify manual finance workflows and drive automation and the adoption of modern tools to improve efficiency and scalability.

Key Requirements

  • •Completed commercial training (e.g., tax specialist) or a degree in finance, or further education to become a balance sheet accountant.
  • •Several years of solid accounting experience, ideally in a dynamic environment, scale-up, or tech/IT industry.
  • •Confident with DATEV or a comparable complex ERP/finance system and digital, system-supported finance processes.
  • •Proficient with Excel and Google Sheets in daily work.
  • •Fluent German and very good English; living in the CET time zone (or within ±4 hours) for effective collaboration.
