Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct investigations, interviews, and inspect property damage on-site within the assigned territory; prepare estimates and address coverage questions and litigation.
  • •Set and maintain claim reserves, review reports, determine coverage and claim value, and issue or decline payments; negotiate claims with plaintiff attorneys when necessary.
  • •Document claim files and submit reports for closure; recognize subrogation situations and initiate appropriate action.
  • •Serve assigned territory through to claim conclusion and interact with agents and district sales managers on matters of mutual concern.
  • •Represent the company as required, complete industry training, assist in training new claims adjusters, and participate on Catastrophe Team when needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED and five years of claims handling experience (or equivalent), or a bachelor’s degree and two years of claims handling experience (or equivalent) for Property Adjuster II.
  • •Must live in the assigned territory unless approved by the company.
  • •Valid driver’s license and good driving record required; ability to drive regularly within the assigned territory.
  • •Willingness to pursue and complete required training and obtain/maintain any required licenses.
  • •Ability to serve on catastrophe duty, including travel on short notice for periods exceeding two consecutive weeks.
