Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead mechanical designs for defined subsystems of medical and diagnostic devices to ensure functionality, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • •Design and review parts and assemblies optimized for high-volume injection molding and automated assembly methods.
  • •Plan and execute engineering tests to validate designs and improve performance.
  • •Create and review detailed design specifications, including 3D and 2D MCAD models following ASME Y14.5 or ISO 8015 standards.
  • •Own system and subsystem requirements and verification plans; lead root cause analysis and drive design or process changes.

Key Requirements

  • •Deep knowledge of scaling products from prototype to high-volume production, including implementing quality controls and improving yield.
  • •Excellent injection molding design skills, including tolerance studies.
  • •Strong mechanical assembly knowledge, including ultrasonic welding, laser welding, clip design, and adhesives.
  • •Expert MCAD user with experience creating detailed 3D and 2D models following ASME Y14.5 or ISO 8015.
  • •Real experience with pilot and full volume production systems and validating designs through engineering tests.
