Key Responsibilities

  • •Work with the assigned branch office to ensure awareness of home loan products.
  • •Handle branch referrals, provide follow-up, and develop referral contacts with realtors, builders, and other professional/personal contacts.
  • •Interview loan applicants, take borrower applications, and make credit decisions based on analysis of financial data.
  • •Maintain knowledge of loan products, processing procedures, and underwriting guidelines; use daily rates, credit reports, and DU responses to transmit information to the processor.
  • •Collect required documentation, deliver loan packages to the processor in a timely manner, and attend required lending meetings while completing BSA/AML and other compliance training.

Key Requirements

  • •Equivalent to a four-year college degree plus 4 years of related experience and/or training, and 2 years of related management experience (or equivalent combination).
  • •Ability to read, analyze, and understand business/company articles and professional journals, and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • •Ability to analyze financial data to determine creditworthiness and calculate interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and other figures.
  • •Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in written, oral, or diagram formats.
  • •This position requires S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
