Key Responsibilities

  • •Collaborate, coach, and advise management and HR partners on interpreting, applying, and renewing the collective agreement, employee contracts, and Canadian labour legislation.
  • •Recommend actions to resolve complex issues and maintain a healthy, productive, collaborative work environment.
  • •Develop and implement employee relations programs, policies, trainings, and procedures in line with relevant employment legislation and regulations.
  • •Analyze employee relations trends and recommend and develop innovative strategies, solutions, programs, and policies.
  • •Support the Director of Employee Relations; develop communication and change management plans; manage litigation cases and investigate complaints as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •University degree in Human Resources Management or Industrial Relations and a minimum of 10 years of experience.
  • •At least 5 years of experience in labour relations.
  • •Experience interpreting and applying collective agreements and presenting disputes before administrative tribunals.
  • •Experience managing a grievance process, including preparation of materials for arbitration.
  • •Experience in project management and designing/building trainings.
