Senior Engineer on Okta Identity Governance (OIG) to design, build, and maintain production-grade identity governance features at scale. You’ll own feature areas end-to-end, collaborate with product, QA, and SRE, and work on microservices, APIs, and cloud-based distributed systems that affect thousands of enterprises.

Key Responsibilities

•Take end-to-end ownership of feature areas—from technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and post-launch monitoring
•Design, build, and ship high-quality, production-ready features across the OIG system, with a focus on correctness, reliability, and performance
•Quickly deliver high-quality bug fixes and handle customer-reported issues
•Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and hold yourself and teammates to a high bar for engineering quality
•Partner with Product Development, QA, and Site Reliability Engineering teams for scoping the development and deployment work

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 136,000 - 187,000 annually

Key Requirements

•5+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of delivering complex features in production environments
•Experience in microservices, event-driven architectures, APIs, and data modeling at scale
•Solid experience with Java, Kotlin, Go, or equivalent JVM/cloud-native languages used in Okta's backend stack
•Practical experience building and operating distributed systems in a cloud environment
•Ability to produce clear technical designs and documentation, communicate trade-offs, and build consensus with teammates
