Supervise Manila trade compliance analysts.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and execute strategic trade compliance initiatives for Appleton, including training support and customs oversight (ACE, PMS) and broker inquiries.
•Ensure sites maintain Emerson standards, policies, procedures, internal controls, and the Archer trade compliance tool; support import/export and audit activities.
•Oversee export and import compliance programs including embargoes and sanctions, restricted party screening, USMCA, HTS classifications, valuation, and Section 301/232 and other tariffs.
•Assist with supply chain security compliance programs such as CTPAT, AEO-Mexico, and PIP; handle product eligibility requests (BABA, Made in America, ARRA, TAA, etc.).
•Provide expert advice, deliver trade data and financial analytics to executives, respond to escalations, collaborate on compliance projects, and manage Manila trade compliance analysts.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•8+ years of direct work experience in multi-national International Trade Compliance, including 5+ years supervising and leading teams, projects, and programs.
•Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Legal, Business, Finance, or a related field relevant to trade compliance (other advanced degrees are an advantage).
•Ability to navigate and interpret U.S., Canada, and Mexico import/export laws and regulations (or willingness to learn).
•Experience working in the region and with local customs authorities.
•Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
