Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide clinical leadership and governance support across dermatology services to ensure high clinical standards and patient outcomes.
  • •Provide clinical oversight and professional accountability for dermatology services delivered by Medical Practitioners.
  • •Support safe, effective, person-centred delivery of care in line with regulatory requirements and professional codes of practice.
  • •Contribute to clinical governance including patient feedback, complaints, incidents, risk reviews, MDTs, audits, quality improvement and regulatory inspection preparation.
  • •Mentor and support Medical Practitioners and partner with Practice Managers, nursing teams and governance colleagues to support service delivery; deputise for the Clinical Director when required.

Key Requirements

  • •GMC registration with a licence to practise and inclusion on the Dermatology Specialist Register.
  • •Substantial dermatology experience, with MRCP, FRCP or equivalent.
  • •Current Basic Life Support and Safeguarding Level 3 training certificates.
  • •Experience in complaint handling, incident management, significant events, clinical governance and regular CPD.
  • •Strong communication, influencing, negotiation, decision-making and organisational skills in a healthcare environment.
