Key Responsibilities

  • •Take field-reported anomalies and determine the subsystem actually responsible.
  • •Reproduce issues using recorded sensor/mission data through the live pipeline and visualization tooling.
  • •Reconstruct system state at failure time using existing metrics, dashboards, and centralized logs.
  • •Implement fixes in the subsystem’s language with tests through CI and confirm via simulation and hardware-in-the-loop as needed.
  • •Write root cause and fix notes for every issue, and help build the team’s on-call/triage runbook while pushing back when deeper subsystem changes are required.

Salary: USD 166,000 - 220,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Real experience debugging code you didn’t write under time pressure with incomplete information.
  • •Comfort debugging in at least two of Rust, modern C++, Python, or Go (not freezing when dropped into a language you know less well).
  • •Systems-debugging instincts: use logs/metrics to reconstruct what happened and reproduce offline from recorded data.
  • •Some hands-on exposure to observability tooling such as Prometheus/Grafana-class metrics and Loki/ELK-class logs.
  • •Linux and systems fluency, plus the ability to clearly write up root cause and fix.
