Job Summary

Install and troubleshoot audiovisual systems for AVI-SPL customer projects, including cable pulls/terminations, rack fabrication and wiring, and equipment layout. Coordinate with project leadership to report progress and help ensure projects meet time, scope, budget, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction goals. Lead on-site work by overseeing Level 1 technicians’ quality, read schematics/blueprints, perform client training, and communicate daily job status while supporting other trades.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform AV installation tasks for contracted projects, including cable pulls/terminations, installing system equipment/components, and rack fabrication and wiring.
•Test point-to-point cabling and verify system functionality, diagnose and resolve technical issues with audiovisual equipment and systems.
•Read and interpret project system schematics and architectural/construction blueprints; follow project directives and safety standards.
•Demonstrate on-site leadership by overseeing Level 1 technicians and coordinating/reporting installation progress to the Project Manager.
•Serve as the customer liaison on site, support client training, coordinate with other trades, manage jobsite equipment/tools, and communicate daily job status.

Key Requirements

•2–4 years of audiovisual installation experience.
•Intermediate ability to install, terminate, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling (e.g., HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber optic) and wiring methods like conduit runs and cable trays.
•Intermediate understanding of audio-visual systems (projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, video conferencing, digital signage, control systems) and related network infrastructure integration.
•Ability to read and interpret project system schematics and architectural/construction blueprints, and use hand/power tools safely and efficiently.
•Valid driver’s license and a motor vehicle record that meets AVI-SPL Driving Privileges standards.
