Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems (e.g., brakes/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, steering, transmissions, differentials).
  • •Inspect, test, and troubleshoot defective equipment using test instruments and road testing to confirm correct operation.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Document all findings and complete DOT and company forms on repair orders, including uploading pictures via an iOS device and proprietary TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as additional degree/certification or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Maintain a current and valid DOT medical card (or successfully complete a DOT physical) and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening.
  • •Must hold a Class C License and be at least 21 years or older (DOT-regulated interstate operating authority).
