Job Summary

Act as a hands-on Agile and technical coach for a distributed offshore delivery team, building Agile maturity and cloud-native engineering capability. You’ll design and maintain scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot, set engineering standards, and enable independent delivery. Deploy containerized services with Kubernetes and Rancher, apply Domain-Driven Design with product owners, and support integration and data modeling with PostgreSQL-backed services.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as the primary Agile practices coach for the team, supporting offshore engineers in ceremonies, backlog refinement, estimation, and continuous improvement.
•Serve as the main day-to-day technical and delivery mentor for a distributed offshore engineering team, building cloud-native engineering capability.
•Promote Agile values such as iterative development, customer collaboration, and adaptability.
•Design, develop, and maintain scalable, resilient microservice applications using Java and Spring Boot, establishing patterns and standards for independent delivery.
•Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and Rancher, applying DDD principles with product owners and domain experts.

Key Requirements

•Proven software development experience focused on application integration and cloud-native microservice applications.
•Demonstrated experience acting as a senior or lead engineer, providing technical coaching and delivery guidance without formal people-management authority.
•Substantial experience working in Agile teams, coaching others on Agile principles, ceremonies, and delivery discipline.
•Experience with application-level database design and data modeling, especially PostgreSQL, including operating and optimizing PostgreSQL-backed services in cloud environments (e.g., Amazon RDS/Aurora PostgreSQL).
•Proficiency with Java and Spring Boot and experience with integration frameworks (Apache Camel or Spring Integration).
