Job Summary

Own end-to-end PCB layout for DoorDash Labs’ drone delivery electronics, from schematic handoff through fabrication, assembly, and bring-up. You’ll design dense, multi-layer controlled-impedance boards that merge power/motor-drive, RF/comms, and high-speed digital, while optimizing size, weight, thermal, signal, and power integrity. Partner with EE, mechanical, power, reliability, and manufacturing to deliver flight-ready hardware and support DFM/DFA/DFT, EMI/EMC-aware grounding, and rework.

Key Responsibilities

•Own end-to-end PCB layout in Altium Designer (floorplanning, component placement, routing, and release to fabrication and assembly).
•Design dense, multi-layer, controlled-impedance boards combining power/motor-drive, RF/comms, and high-speed digital for flight-ready assemblies.
•Optimize airborne PCB layouts for size, weight, and thermal constraints while meeting signal- and power-integrity requirements.
•Own DFM/DFA/DFT and produce fabrication/assembly packages, including stackups, drawings, and Gerber/ODB++ outputs.
•Apply EMI/EMC-aware layout and grounding strategies; maintain footprint/component libraries and support board bring-up, debug, and rework.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 212,200 - 312,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related) or equivalent hands-on PCB layout experience.
•8+ years of hands-on PCB layout experience with a portfolio of complex, shipped multi-layer boards.
•Expert-level proficiency in Altium Designer for end-to-end PCB layout, including placement and routing through fabrication/assembly release.
•Strong signal integrity, power integrity, and controlled-impedance design skills (return paths, decoupling, stackup, plane design).
•Experience with mixed-signal layout spanning power, RF, and high-speed digital, plus working knowledge of DFM/DFA and IPC standards (IPC-2221/2222, IPC-A-600/610).
