Job Summary

Embedded software engineer responsible for developing and verifying safety-critical software for Archer’s Charge Control Unit (CCU). You will design interfaces with high-voltage hardware, ensure DO-178C compliance, and collaborate across systems to certify complex hardware/software systems for a four-passenger all-electric VTOL aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

•Embedded development and verification of safety critical software components for the Charge Control Unit (CCU).
•Design and implement charge control systems interfacing embedded software with high-voltage components and analog/digital circuitry.
•Collaborate with systems engineers to decompose requirements into high-level and low-level software requirements in DO-178C.
•Work with a multi-disciplinary team to develop, integrate, verify and certify complex hardware/software systems.
•Develop and implement fault detection and diagnostic algorithms to identify and respond to hardware-level events such as short circuits and sensor failures.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 140,000 - 180,000 annually

Key Requirements

•6+ years of experience in a related field
•BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree
•Proficiency in C/C++ for developing firmware that controls and monitors electrical subsystems, including voltage regulation, fault detection, and sensor data acquisition
•Hands-on experience with ISO 15118-2/-3/-30, SAE J1772, HomePlug AV Specification Standards, or related industry standards
•Familiarity with safety critical software development standards (DO-178C, ISO 26262, ASIL) to high criticality levels (DAL-A/B or ASIL C/D)
