Job Summary

Assist HVAC Service Technicians as the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane customers in a commercial market. Help with commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and starting up HVAC systems, performing scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance under direction. Apply air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layout knowledge while using hand tools, blueprints/engineering specifications, and cutting-edge technology. Maintain safety standards, accountability of company assets, and positive customer communication.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist HVAC Technicians with diagnosing and repairing units using hand tools and following blueprints/engineering specifications.
•Support commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and startup of HVAC systems in a commercial environment.
•Enforce safety standards and maintain security/accountability of company assets by recording use, wear, and conditions.
•Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance and service under the direction of the HVAC Technician.
•Maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and coworkers through effective oral and written communication (phone, computer, and face to face).

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma or equivalent.
•0-2 years of experience in HVAC and/or an equivalent combination of Technical School education and experience.
•Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and proficiency with a handheld computer (e.g., smartphone, iPad).
•Valid driver’s license with no major or frequent traffic violations.
•Must be able to safely and legally operate a vehicle using a seatbelt.
