Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives to grow the transport planning and consulting practice, aligning team objectives with business goals.
  • •Build and maintain client and stakeholder relationships, providing strategic advice and representing AECOM at meetings, industry events, and conferences.
  • •Oversee complex transport planning project delivery, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline performance, with technical oversight and compliance.
  • •Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leading bids and proposals and collaborating to deliver multidisciplinary projects.
  • •Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of transport planners and consultants, fostering collaboration, innovation, continuous improvement, and diversity and inclusion.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in transport planning, civil engineering, urban planning, or a related field.
  • •Chartered status with professional bodies such as CIHT or TPS.
  • •Extensive experience in transport planning, including appraisal, business case development, and/or monitoring and evaluation, with a proven track record in winning work and leading teams.
  • •Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • •Comprehensive knowledge of UK&I transport planning principles, policies, regulations, and transport appraisal/business case development.
