Job Summary

Senior Mainframe Consultant responsible for 10+ years of core mainframe expertise (COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, IMS) with hands-on batch and online experience. Will engage in mainframe re-hosting/migration projects to Raincode/microfocus, perform impact analysis, design reviews, and SDLC-aligned deliverables within an Agile environment, coordinating across teams and ensuring quality.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and contribute to mainframe re-hosting/migration projects to Raincode/microfocus platform, ensuring smooth code changes, compilation, debugging and unit testing for batch and online processes.
•Perform impact analysis and understand technical design to deliver SDLC-compliant enhancements.
•Conduct SIT/UAT defect analysis and implement fixes, ensuring quality and timeliness.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver mainframe-based solutions and migrations.
•Operate with independence, driving tasks to completion and communicating progress to stakeholders.

Key Requirements

•10-15 years of experience in Core Mainframe Skills – COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM,IMS DB/DC,CICS.
•Mainframe experience with hands-on knowledge in Batch as well as online is Must
•Nice to have IMS DB/DC, Easytrieve, Assembler and Datacom.
•REXX and CLIST knowledge will be added advantage.
•Should have experience working in mainframe re-hosting/migration projects to Raincode/microfocus platform.
