Job Summary

Develop and advance image processing and pattern recognition capabilities for electron-beam test systems used in display and semiconductor manufacturing. Build application flows and feature lists, create software mockups, and collaborate with ML, algorithms, and engineering teams to evaluate alternatives and make data-driven decisions. Own defect detection and alignment PR analytics, prototype scalable ML/DL algorithms, and adapt them for GPU execution for improved performance. Work with a software team in India supporting engineering in Germany.

Key Responsibilities

•Define and develop application flow and feature list based on UX requirements, and create software mockups using standard tools.
•Align and improve pattern recognition (PR) for alignment features, including recognition, exclusion of false detections, and PR success-rate analytics.
•Develop defect detection algorithms using defect and reference images, including periodic pattern defect detection and multi-perspective evaluation.
•Perform analytics for distortions in structured images and noise reduction to identify known features for reliable detection.
•Collaborate across algorithms, system, and software teams to analyze alternatives, support decision-making, and adapt algorithms to run on GPU for speed.

Key Requirements

•Academic background in Computer Vision with 5+ years of experience.
•Experience with image processing using MATLAB and/or Python OpenCV, including transformation, enhancement, histogram processing, noise reduction, and Fourier domain operations.
•Working knowledge of deep learning using Python, including transformers, convolutional neural networks, hyperparameter tuning, and model deployment.
•Ability to conceive, develop, and productize algorithmic solutions for high-value problem statements in computer vision.
•Detail-oriented skills with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities, including cross-functional collaboration.
