Key Responsibilities

  • •Exercise judgement to determine liability by gathering and analyzing relevant facts, utilizing applicable procedures.
  • •Exercise judgement to determine policy verification and coverage determination by analyzing applicable coverage for claims and determining whether the loss falls within the coverage.
  • •Participates in Risk Management Agency initiated reviews and referrals for sake of operations integrity and quality assurance.
  • •Protect Zurich’s reputation by keeping claims information confidential.
  • •Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, staying current with industry trends, establishing personal networks.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or Equivalent; 6+ months of experience in the agricultural area
  • •Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained within 180 days of hire date
  • •Reliable personal transportation and travel within territory
  • •RCIS Crop Adjuster Physical Requirements: walk in fields up to 3 miles, climb bins up to 25 feet, lift 25-50 lbs, work outdoors in varying temperatures
  • •This role will be filled at either the Crop Claims Specialist or Crop Claims Specialist II level depending on experience
