Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver consulting services for mine waste projects, including the design and inspection of mine waste storage facilities, the construction of tailings deposits, stability and seepage analysis and closure design
  • •Lead and input into the design and assessment of mine waste facilities, including tailings facilities, water storage facilities, waste rock dumps and integrated waste facilities, from concept design through detailed design and into operation and closure
  • •Mentor and lead a team of scientists, engineers, and professionals within the Mine Waste team to support career development, technical excellence, and commercial awareness
  • •Prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications, bill of quantities, and cost estimates
  • •Provide technical direction and supervise junior and intermediate staff, and participate in global corporate technical practice groups
Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in civil/geotechnical engineering or engineering geology
  • •Chartered professional with relevant body
  • •Strong experience in mine waste and tailings
  • •Knowledge of national and international design guidelines and regulations
  • •Willingness to travel in the UK and internationally, and to remote environments
