Job Summary

Perform a variety of duties on construction and paving projects as part of the asphalt crew. Help maintain a safe work environment by following safety policies and OSHA/MSHA requirements, assisting with material preparation and placement, and supporting equipment operators with signals and traffic control tasks. Follow daily direction from site leadership, may operate small power tools, and support ongoing jobsite needs to keep work moving efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure a safe work environment by following safety policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations.
•Assist construction/paving crew with tasks such as shoveling, raking, running wheelbarrows, and backing/dumping trucks into a paver.
•Signal construction equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and materials placement.
•Follow daily direction from the foreman and support project/jobsite expectations.
•Assist with digging, spreading, leveling, lifting/carrying supplies, and placing/moving traffic control devices.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED preferred.
•Previous related experience in the construction field.

•Knowledge of construction and paving materials/methods/tools, with ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
