Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive major initiatives to build and evolve Visa’s centralized GenAI inference platform across engineering, architecture, infrastructure, and platform consumers.
  • •Scale platform performance for global use by improving inference performance, capacity, resilience, and operational efficiency as workloads grow.
  • •Coordinate model hosting and infrastructure programs across on-premises and third-party approaches, resolving architecture, infrastructure, and dependency issues.
  • •Own end-to-end model onboarding and lifecycle management, including technical integration, evaluation, operational readiness, and compliance activities.
  • •Plan and execute complex cross-team technical programs by defining milestones, dependencies, risks, success criteria, and maintaining clear stakeholder communication.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree (or 8+ years with an Advanced degree, or 3+ years with a PhD).
  • •Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, or a related technical/quantitative field is required.
  • •Engineering background building software or operating complex technical systems (including reading architecture diagrams and understanding API contracts and distributed systems).
  • •Delivery track record driving complex cross-team engineering programs from ambiguity through production delivery, including planning and operational readiness.
  • •Technical depth across AI model serving/inference, APIs, capacity/performance, observability, and integration; plus experience in regulated environments.
