Job Summary

Lead Food Safety & Quality Assurance efforts to ensure products meet top safety and quality standards. Oversee FSQA programs and documentation, enforce HACCP/USDA requirements, and manage sanitation inspections, micro sampling, and corrective actions. Own and maintain the SQF system plan, drive continuous improvement with plant leadership and USDA, and train and develop FSQA staff to support safe, high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure Food Safety, Quality Assurance, SQF, and Regulatory programs are executed and documented to maintain compliance and product integrity.
•Investigate and resolve product/process failures quickly to minimize downtime and consistently meet safety and quality standards.
•Manage HACCP, SSOP, and product specifications to prevent failures and drive continuous improvement with FSQA and Operations.
•Conduct operational and pre-operational sanitation inspections and micro sampling; maintain and reassess the SQF Plan and communicate updates to the team.
•Manage work assignments, training, and development of FSQA staff to foster a high-performance team.

Travel: Medium travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 55,000 - 82,500 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 2+ years’ relevant experience in food safety or quality assurance, or equivalent education and experience.
•Experience acting as a lead through training, coaching, mentoring, or managing a process or project.
•Familiarity with meat processing, USDA, HACCP, SSOP, and SQF.
•Ability to uphold regulatory, company, and customer standards and address inquiries or complaints.
•Preference for HACCP and SQF certifications.
